Patrick Sheils is a bilingual senior executive, board director, and capital markets advisor with over 30 years of experience across investment banking, infrastructure, and public-sector governance. He is recognized for aligning capital, risk management, and stakeholder interests to deliver durable outcomes in complex public–private environments.

 

Prior to co-founding Crosswalk Communities, Patrick spent 22 years at Laurentian Bank Securities, where he ultimately served as President and Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Capital Markets for Laurentian Bank Financial Group. He built and led the firm’s Toronto office and oversaw businesses responsible for the majority of the firm’s profitability.

 

Patrick has held several senior governance roles, including Vice-Chair of Infrastructure Ontario and Board Director of Waterfront Toronto, where he contributed to large-scale infrastructure, real estate, and city-building initiatives. He is also the Founder and President of Public Realm Capital, advising public and private sector clients on governance frameworks, partnerships, and risk management.
